SO out of the Loop April 30, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — Dianna @ 10:31 pm

It’s week 2 of the new job.  I feel I’m digging in nicely, already picking up a little slack.  And I was even called SUPER HUMAN.  I’m so happy someone has finally realized this.

But, the problem with a new job, a move, getting the boy settled in his new school, and a crazy commute is that I have no idea what is going on in my friends worlds.  I have to read their blogs to get glimpses of their lives (that’s if they update them in a timely fashion…).

Maybe after my trip to NYC I’ll be back in the loop. Maybe. Or I can continue to be SUPER HUMAN and rock the world of order management.  Oh the choices.

Oh and does anyone need one and a half roommates?  We’re a fun crowd.

It’s the end of the road my friend… April 16, 2008

I’m sad.

I have to give this back:

My blogging life will be on hold until I get myself a new computer.

I’m happy.

I have to give this back:

My single life will no longer be on hold. Back to driving the Accord.  YAY!

Too Many Players on the Field

Ummmm…I don’t even know what has happened in the past 6 weeks.

I met a few interesting people. I figured out that I really should watch what I’m doing in my friendships (otherwise life gets REALLY weird – especially when life is standing in front of you…lol). I’ve formed new awesome friendships. I’ve gotten even more comfortable in my own skin. I GOT A NEW JOB (this is possibly even better than meeting the aforementioned interesting people). I bought a new iPod (finally). And on top of all that I have to move from Sac to Herc to….

{Whistle blowing} TOO MANY PLAYERS ON THE FIELD!

I have NO idea how to deal with all of that CRAP above. Really, I’m so happy – more happy than I’ve been in a long time. So many things are lining up, for the good, that I think my head is about to explode. Really. It’s going to be messy too.

I’m outta here suckas! April 8, 2008

It’s official. I HAVE A NEW JOB!

So now I just have to move all my stuff in Sacramento to Hercules, then to wherever I end up living. In the space of about 3 weeks. Fun times! 1 goal down; 20 or so to go!

I have the feeling things are about to get real interesting with me back in The Bay…

I won’t even hide the fact that I stole this idea from the ever so cool Catie. But, her list is really awesome! Although I won’t put “get engaged” on my list, I can come up with a few things. First, I’ll start off by reviewing my goals for 2008, which were a little different from my really general goals here.

08 Goals (the unabridged version)

  1.  Take Tashar to Disneyland for his birthday (I’m x-ing this, we’ll wait until he turns 5)
  2. Call people! (been kind good at this.)
  3. Figure out what I want in a relationship and go for it! (been doing that since Jan. 1st…lol…at least I know what I want now; just gotta let life happen – remember I’m OUT of the game!)
  4. Meet my sales goal (getting there)
  5. Work my way out of debt
  6. Map out what it takes to become: a teacher, professional photographer, professional writer
  7. Meditate every day for at least 5 minutes
  8. Exercise: Jan – 2 days a week; Feb – 3 days a week, March – 4 days a week;the balance of the year 5 days a week (working on it….really I am…lol)
  9. Take another dance class
  10. Learn conversational Spanish
  11. Learn conversational French
  12. Take a copy editing class
  13. Get published again
  14. Start working on my non-fiction masterpiece

  16. Travel to: SoCal in April (happening in 2 weeks); NYC in May (still gotta buy that plane ticket); NC and TX, one in June, the other in July, SoCal in August to see the new baby

That’s them, my initial goals.  Next post will be all the things I want to do in the next 274 days.
